December 21, 2017 a date that will forever remain imprinted in our cerebrum! This date is a history of sorts and can be recorded as a watershed moment in Indian renewable industry. Till date, this project holds a record of the lowest tariff (INR 2.43/kWh) that Indian Wind and Solar Industry have witnessed under the bidding regime.
Our first wind power project in the country in one of the states which have the highest solar irradiation and a decent presence of wind speeds in its coastal belt – the largest coast in the country, this project was won under a 500 MW Phase I Wind tender brought out by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
Located in the Saurashtra belt of Gujarat at 55 kms from the birthplace of Father of Nation, the site is situated within a radius of 25 kms from Khageshri Village located in KutiyanaTaluka of Porbandar District. Surrounded by a cluster of 7 hills the site is in serene, calm, composed and surreal environment cohabitated by beautiful flora and fauna. The team is conscious of challenges that behold the long steep pathway to Wind Turbine locations at hilltops/elevated ground level and are prepared to surmount the way Edmund Hillary scaled Mt. Everest!!
