If the third project that we won went to wind, how could the solar team remain behind…They had to tilt the
balance to an equilibrium by winning another project… And Oh Boy, they did it majestically…Within 4 days of
bagging our third project, history was made on May 09,2018 as we crossed the 1GW milestone within 15 months
of winning of our first project when we got another 250 MW solar power project bid out by National Thermal
Power Corporation at Anantapuram Solar Park. The bidding team didn’t even anticipate that bidding will close as
soon as it began and within 2.5 hours of the auction results were out making history.
The project is located in Anathpuram Solar Park located in Rayalaseema region and situated on a high plateau,
with large granite rocks or low hill ranges rising occasionally above its surface. One of most famous places within
the vicinity of site is Thimmamma Marrimanu – a huge banyan tree located in the village of Gutibayalu which is
more than 550 years old and covers over 5 acres with 1100 roots. The place has been the centre of power
struggles and recorded in annals of history as seat of Vijayanagara Empire during which Gooty Fort entirely built
from granite rocks was constructed.
The project is to be commissioned in a record timeframe and one of the shortest possible deadline for
commissioning the project. The team is up for challenges and raring to go
